You. BetterNow is just a data processor, you are the data controller. In effect, we process data on your instructions.
BetterNow only processes data through data centres placed within the EU. Our main servers are placed in Ireland, and all sub-processors are either placed within the EU or are purely using data centres within the EU.
BetterNow has a strong focus on ensuring that you are compliant with GDPR and other relevant legislation.
User deletion
Your supporters can delete their own data from the solution. You can, in addition, be notified through webhooks when this happens.
Cookie management
BetterNow has a built-in cookie manager that blocks cookies until accepted. In addition, we integrate to several other cookie management tools, ensuring you are compliant with the EU ePrivacy directive.
Obligatory 2FA for all admins
All users who have access to personal data is required to set up two-factor authentication. This adds another protective layers against any unwanted third parties getting access to your account and supporters data.
Consent statements
Use your own contact consent statement, ensuring you collect the correct consent for your communication. You can even collect granular consent per communication channel.
Custom privacy policy acceptance text
Add your own custom text when users accept your privacy policy, and even differentiate depending on the form the user fills out. Use this text to inform the user clearly about what you will be using their data for, as required by GDPR.
